Dear Friends,
Last weekend I had the greatest pleasure of meeting my newest great niece, Jennifer Skylar. Jennifer was born on January 11, 2008. Song, my great niece’s mother, is a pharmacist and pediatrician. What brain cells! After caring for so many, many babies it was such a pleasure to see her have a child of her own. It was especially amazing and touching to see that even with all the education and experience Song has had in the medical field, her eyes filled up with pride and wonder as she looked at her own precious new daughter.
As my sister-in-law Lois says, “We worry from womb to tomb.” This note is a tribute to Moms, Grandmas, Aunts, and us great Aunts that continue to revel in the miracle of birth and the life changing experience it brings to all families. Congratulations to all of you on life’s little miracles.
