ScrapSMART's Angel Policy:
ScrapSmart

We want the ScrapSMART Clip-Art CDs to be user friendly for professional and novice crafters alike.

Question:

Is creating items on the computer considered handcrafted?
Answer:

YES. We consider the computer to be one of the most powerful tools available to crafters.

Question:

What is your ScrapSMART Angel Policy?
Answer:

Product use for resale purposes/product enhancement: The copyright allows for this clip-art to be used on hand-finished products sold directly to the consumer without any copyright infringement. The intent here is for the professional crafter/boutiquer to be able to use these designs to make hand-finished products for resale. The limited reproduction of these images for non-profit, non-commercial use is also allowed (e.g. church functions, school fundraising, and craft sales).

In simple terms, if you personally create or handcraft (with paint, glue, computer, etc.) a product using ScrapSMART CDs and sell it directly to the consumer you are not violating the copyright.

Question:

How many handcrafted pieces can I produce without violating the copyright?
Answer:

You, the end user, can create up to 20 "Hand-Finished" items from any one design, such as printing stickers, embellishing cards, iron-ons, and final fabric designs, etc.

Question:

What can't I do with the ScrapSMART Clip-Art Designs?
Answer:

Digitizing the images for embroidery patterns, a sticker line, rubber stamp line, clip-art/digital format, or any commercial use, etc. to sell or distribute is not allowed under our copyright policy. Anytime artwork is changed so that the other people can create with it, please contact us at lic@Scrapsmart.com for a licensing agreement from us before using, distributing or selling the designs.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
